Dale & Danielle
This journey began in 2014 when I first met Dale and Danielle one afternoon in a little bar in Windsor. You know those type of people you just click with? Well that is Dale and Nell in a nut shell for me.
They first trusted me to capture their engagement session back in August 2014 and not long after, their wedding day.
Their amazing wedding was held at Del Rio, located on the beautiful Hawkesbury River near Wiseman's Ferry. Coincidentally, this was one of our holiday spots growing up where I spent many a day/night camping and water-skiing with friends and family along the banks of the river. This place honestly meant as much to me as it did to them and it was a dream come true to photograph their special day there.
So lets fast forward a year shall we?
We returned riverside to the gorgeous Colo River to photograph Nell's beautiful growing baby bump. Nell was 2 weeks out from her due date and looking every bit the glowing mother-to be. Calm, collected and her usual unwavering happy self I have grown to know and love (and always the good sport I might add). Me - "Hey Nell, will you lay down in the water and wet your perfectly styled hair and make-up?" Nell "yeah sure, why not?!" What a trooper! You really are photographer's dream to photograph Nell, and let's not forget the handsome hubby is not too bad either!
And then... before we knew it, baby Isla came bounding into the world.
I received the text from Nell when I was out with a friend, and may possibly have scared the life out of my friend when I let out an excited squeal! It was a mere 4 days after the maternity shoot. Talk about great timing.
Oh little Isla, aren't you just so unbelievably lucky and blessed to have been born into this particular family. This perfectly happy, kind and loving family.
Dream big little one, because your mummy and daddy will no doubt teach you to fly.
Love always,
Lauren xx

My Country
I love a sunburnt country, A land of sweeping plains, Of ragged mountain ranges, Of droughts and flooding rains. I love her far horizons, I love her jewel-sea, Her beauty and her terror, The wide brown land for me.
